The Wordpress interface uses a feature called the Dashboard. From the Dashboard you can write posts, create pages, manage posts, categories, pages, customize your site, add and delete links, change your user information and password. Basically everything you do you do from the Dashboard.

Creating and Managing Categories: From the Dashboard choose Manage, then choose Categories. Click on Add New Category, in the box type the name of the category, for example , Reading Responses and click add category. Categories you should use: Reading Responses, In-class Assignments, Technology Narrative, Project Log, Drafts, Proposal, Final Project. You can use other categories in addition to these if you wish. For example, you might want to include a category for posts that involve tech news or films. Some posts may have more than one category attached or associated with it.

Writing Pages: You will want to create pages for the Project Log, Proposal, Technology Narrative and Final Project. Reading Responses and In Class Assignments and Drafts can be categorized and do not need their own pages. To create pages, choose Manage from the Dashboard. Then choose Pages. Click on Create New Page. Title the Page using one of the categories until all the pages are created. Once the pages are created you will want to post the content that corresponds to each Page.

Writing posts: Choose write from the Dashboard menu. Write Post page gives you a box in which you write your post. There is also a sidebar of options. The one option you'll need to be most concerned with is the "categories" option. Once you set up categories for your postings, you can use the sidebar to choose which category you want to use for your posts.

Adding Links: Choose Links from the Dashboard Menu. Once there click the add links button. Type in the URL: http://www.yourwebsite.com. Type in your Link Name: Your Website. If you want to write a description you can; I don't usually write a description. Then choose a catgory
