This website began in December 2005 as a place to experiment with web design and host our blogs. As such, the site has undergone numerous design changes and updates.
My design ideas and creative impulses do not exist in a vacuum. They feed off of and intersect with others' ideas, designs and creative work. To visualize this process, I often use circles like Venn diagrams to show how my thoughts are connected. Thus, the name for the site was born.
I am not a web designer by profession. But much of my work as a student and teacher of rhetoric and writing explores design, usability and identity. And so I've become a designer through my research, courses and teaching. This website represents my diverse interests in design and rhetoric, culture and writing.
